“This is like a dream come true for me.”
You got accepted to a top graduate school in the U.S. You're telling a friend how happy you are about it like this.
“You may have to hold my hand; I'm not that tech-savvy.”
You're buying a new computer. The salesperson asks you what you want, but you don't really know. You want her to help you decide. You say this.
“We can't take in every stray that comes along.”
Your kids found a homeless cat. They want to keep it. You're not going to let them keep it because you already have enough pets. You tell them this.
